A big thank you to everyone who participated in the 2008 Investors Group Walk for Memories to support people living with dementia.
With your support – and that of your friends and family – we’ve raised more than $465,000!
Mark your calendars for January 25, 2009, and make plans to participate next year!
The Walk is fun and exercise for the whole family. In communities around the province, it brings together people who want to help thousands of British Columbians touched by dementia by supporting the work of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Congratulations to Trisha Maxwell of Victoria, who is the winner of our Grand Prize – five nights at the Westin Resort and Spa in Whistler.
Trisha was a member of the Investors Group Team in Victoria – the top fundraising team for this year’s Walk, collecting $18,370 in pledges!
A more than honorable mention goes to Maurice's Dream Team in Nelson, which raised $16,292 with only 10 team members! The top individual fundraiser for the province comes from this team - Cal Renwick. Congratulations to all the Renwick family and friends for a wonderful tribute to Maurice, the honouree for the Nelson event.
