This Investors Group Walk for Memories is dedicated to a special member of our community, Al Corscadden.

Al Corscadden was born in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, in 1926. He loved watching sports, and played hockey, softball and golf. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and travelling. Al was a very happy, healthy, hard-working, kind, gentle, content, and caring person who was always ready to give a helping hand. For more than forty years, he worked for Sears in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Delta. He enjoyed his work and, through it, developed lifelong friendships. In 1991, he and his wife, Cora, retired to Penticton to be near their son and his family; Al was a very devoted grandfather. In early 2002, Al was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It was a blessing for him to have a caring family, community and doctor. During this time, walking, whistling, singing, attending church, and spending time with family and friends gave him great pleasure. He passed away in October 2004, but left a legacy of love, faith, and appreciation.
