This Investors Group Walk for Memories is dedicated to special members of our community, Ian & Myrtle Clark.

Walter 'Wally' FurphyMarried in 1939, Ian and Myrtle Clark shared a love of the outdoors and spent nearly 60 years enjoying life in Kamloops. Extremely generous people, they were well-respected and dedicated to their community. Ian and his colleagues worked tirelessly to put CIFM and CFFM-FM on the air. In 1957, he helped establish the Interior’s first TV station, known today as CFJC-TV7. Myrtle was in her late 60s when she started showing signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Ian and their daughter, Diane, worked hard to care for her at home. Ian died in 1999, and Myrtle passed away not long after. But the inspirational impact their lives had on their family and the community has a lasting effect! Granddaughter Susan Edgell, (CFJC-TV7 personality), cherishes the memories she has of her grandparents. Join her in honouring them and create your own memories!
