Whether you run a lot or walk a little, we want you on our team! On June 22, join the Alzheimer Society of B.C. for the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K Run/Walk.
We're excited to be one of ten charities benefiting from this annual event.
The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is transforming the way we all live with and challenge Alzheimer's disease and dementia – one donation at a time.
This is your chance to make a difference for the more than 64,000 families in British Columbia faced with dementia, and the growing number of people concerned about memory loss who want to age well.
Every dollar you raise for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. ensures people affected by the disease can connect to a community of information, services and support. We also fund research as we continue to search for the cure.
Approximately 14,000 British Columbians develop dementia each year, a number that is increasing as the baby boomer generation ages.
Growing evidence shows a strong connection between healthy living and healthy brains. It's never too soon, or too late, to make simple lifestyle changes that will maintain or improve your brain health – changes that may also help reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.
Commit to raise a minimum of $50 to support the Alzheimer Society and you'll automatically receive the early bird discounted registration fee of $50 for the half-marathon, or $25 for the 5K Walk/Run.

Register for the event
- Go to www.eventsonline.ca/events/crs_vanhalf/ and complete the registration details.
- In the purple Fundraising Option box, select "Alzheimer Society of BC" from the drop-down menu.
- Choose to fundraise a minimum $50 to support the ASBC, and you'll automatically receive the discounted early bird registration rate!
- Complete the entire form and an automatic confirmation email will be sent to you by the organizers.
