You may have been told you have Alzheimer's disease, the most common form of dementia. Or you may have Vascular Dementia, Pick's Disease, Lewy body Dementia or Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
No matter what form of dementia you have, you can get information and support from the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
We have support groups in various locations around the province, where people who have recently been diagnosed can share their experiences. There are also support groups for your family and friends to meet with others who are sharing the dementia journey.
In addition to the resources and support groups offered by the Alzheimer Society of B.C., the Alzheimer Society of Canada Web site has a lot of information available for people who have been diagnosed with dementia. Click here for more information.
