Larry Okotinsky has joined the Alzheimer Society of B.C. as Director of Finance and Administration. In addition to ensuring the Society’s high standard of accountability and fiscal responsibility, he will oversee the information systems, human resources and general administration operations. The Society has recently announced $1 million funding from the Province to expand key programs and services in B.C., and has plans to ensure the organization is poised to meet the growing need for dementia care.

Prior to joining the Society, Larry was responsible for patient costing, statistics, and corporate reporting for the Fraser Health Authority and led the implementation of Management Information Systems Guidelines to B.C. hospitals.  “I look forward to working with a team that has a solid record of accountability over the last 30 years,” says Larry. “I am excited to help take the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to the next level”

In addition, Larry also provided consulting services to B.C. hospitals regarding financial management and strategic planning for health information systems.

“Given the projected rise in prevalence of dementia in B.C., we know the Society has to be ready to provide more support, education and information,” says Jean Blake, CEO, Alzheimer Society of B.C. “Larry’s knowledge and expertise is a welcome addition to the Society in this period of growth and expansion.”
