Each of the Walks was dedicated to an Honoree – a person who has been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.

This Investors Group Walk for Memories was dedicated to Wayne Jenkins.

Wayne was born in New Westminster on Mar. 30, 1943 and spent his childhood on the lower mainland where he attended school. After graduating from UBC, Wayne taught elementary school for six years before “moving on” to real estate. He is well known in the industry for treating all of his clients with honesty and integrity. Wayne had a very productive career and served on regional, provincial and national boards.

Wayne’s courage and positive attitude in the face of his diagnosis are commendable. He carries on, facing each day and enjoying it! He and his wife Ginny have participated in Alzheimer’s disease support groups for more than 25 years and have developed lasting friendships through book borrowing and workshops over the years.
Wayne is a great father, grandfather and wonderful friend to Max, his first dog.

Thanks for Walking Prince George - for Wayne Jenkins and the more than 70,000 individuals and families in B.C. who are living with dementia.
