This
Investors Group Walk for Memories is dedicated to
Dr. Alan Gow.
A compassionate person who brings humor and energy to his work, Dr. Alan Gow is the Consulting Physician to Elderly Services Programs and the Physician Leader, Community Integrated Health Services in Interior Health.
As a physician champion for people with dementia and their caregivers, Dr. Gow partners with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to present workshops, and share his expertise. He is a member of the Interior Health Dementia Advisory Group and the Dementia Clinical Practice Working Group developing best practice guidelines for dementia care. As a physician he always puts the best interests of his patients first.
“Dr. Gow's kindness and knowledge were so important from the time that my husband Grizzly received his diagnosis and later through our struggles with Alzheimer’s. We couldn’t have managed without his guidance over the years,” said Cindee Muchow, Grizzly’s widow.
Dr. Gow works as a consulting physician for Home and Community Care and the Elderly Services Teams in the North Okanagan, is physician lead for Community Integrated Health Services in Interior Health, and, currently is the Chairman of the Board of the Board of Directors BCMA.
“I am honored to be in this position and truly love the work I do and the folks I work with,” said Dr. Gow.
This is your opportunity to show you care.
