How to deal with Alzheimer’s disease while living in an urban setting with various support systems is difficult. Coping with the disease while living in a rural (remote) setting, where machinery, animals and hazardous materials are part of everyday life is almost unthinkable. Author June Moulton did just that while providing care for her husband.
We Rage, We Weep is a touching and revealing story written from the heart. The author describes how even the simplest chores of country life become moments filled with terror, and how important it is to accept help from family and friends, to make the caregiver journey a little easier.
The book is well written and very captivating. You feel like you are living the journey alongside June as she works through various caregiving challenges as a result of the disease. The book describes scenes filled with grief, love and hope. It is a book full of insight!
Once you start reading this book, you won’t be able to put it down.
