The RBC Foundation has made a generous commitment to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to support the Dementia Education program with renewed support of a gift of $50,000 over two years. This gift will provide dementia education workshops to people diagnosed in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia and their family caregivers.
"At RBC we believe the health and wellness of local communities is of vital importance. We are proud to be a long-time supporter of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and their work in communities throughout B.C.," says Jennifer Cabeldu, Manager of Donations in Brand & Communications for the BC Region of RBC.
The Dementia Education program is designed to guide people from diagnosis to end of life decision making, helping families plan for the future, gain skills and confidence to cope with the changes, and maintain quality of life during their journey with dementia.
“We are grateful to the RBC for their renewed support for the Society. Through their generous donation, we can continue to provide help for today and hope for tomorrow to B.C. families on the dementia journey through support and education,” says David Walker, Director of Fund Development for the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
The RBC Foundation has been dedicated to improving the lives of people impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias since 1996.
