Marketing and Communications Volunteers
The Society is moving forward with significant Marketing and Communications strategies this year, and we require volunteers with experience and enthusiasm to work with our small staff team to achieve our goals!
Assignments will vary according to the department's needs but we will require volunteers with excellent writing skills, interpersonal skills and an understanding of the role of social media in non-profits.
If you are currently taking courses or have just finished a program in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations, this volunteer opportunity might be right for you! You will help to build your professional portfolio while at the same time support a great organization doing valuable work in communities throughout the province.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in marketing, public relations and/or communications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Some photography is an asset
- Understanding of social media in the context of a non-profit organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work to meet deadlines
