The Alzheimer Society of B.C. was recently recognized by Business in Vancouver as one of the "Top 100 Charitable Organizations In B.C." in their December 2010 issue. The magazine ranked organizations by their 2010 expenditures.

Jean Blake, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. stated, "we are pleased to be recognized as a reputable charity within British Columbia. The feedback we continue to receive is that our support, education and information are all vital to B.C. families on the dementia journey. Our ability to support those families is directly impacted by the donations we receive as a charity.”

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is the only province-wide organization providing support, education, and information about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through support groups, telephone workshops, education programs, library resources, and the Dementia Helpline. The Society also provides the voice for change in the delivery of dementia care in the province through its advocacy initiatives, and funds research to find the causes and cure for the disease.
