Let's Face It, B.C. Campaign Launches Today
January is Alzheimer Awareness Month, and this year we're focusing on early diagnosis. Almost half of all Canadians living with dementia say they waited a year or more to see a doctor because they thought their symptoms were simply "old age," and missed out on early treatment and support.
Alzheimer's disease and dementia is not a normal part of aging. Although there is no cure yet, there are treatment options available and there is help.
This month, let's face dementia head-on, B.C.
Visit www.letsfaceitbc.ca to learn more about the warning signs, and what you can do if you're concerned for yourself, a family member or friend.
