Working with the Donor Relations Officer, Major Gifts, the Prospect Research volunteer will assist with research to support the short  and long-term goals of major donors identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities.

Duties:

  • Conduct biographical and financial research utilizing a variety of industry-specific internet and in-house research tools to rate prospects in terms of capacity and interest
  • Work with the Major Gifts Officer to capture and collect relevant information according to best fundraising practices
  • Remain current with trends and tools available to prospect researchers; and to report on new trends in giving and/or fundraising
  • Other related administrative tasks as required

Requirements / Qualifications / Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet search engines browsing
  • Must be reliable and be able to commit to six months
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information
  • Criminal Record check will be required prior to beginning this assignment
