The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is participating in the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K, taking place on Sunday, June 26. We are looking for volunteers to join our organizing committee.
This event is a unique opportunity for runners and walkers to help us raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, the work we do at the Society, and the importance of brain health. To date we have raised over $86,000 in the four years we have been involved!
We are looking for volunteers to join our organizing committee who can help with:
- getting the word out
- recruiting participants and donors
- assisting with soliciting and securing sponsors
- enlisting volunteers
- assisting at the expo and on the event day
Are you…
- connected to Alzheimer’s and the Society?
- a runner and someone who has a network of contacts?
- looking for a way to support our cause?
- interested in events or gaining more volunteer experience?
If so, we want to hear from you!
This is your chance to make a difference for the more than 70,000 people in B.C. living with dementia, and the growing number of people concerned about brain health.
