The Forget Me Not Golf Tournament is the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s largest annual research fundraiser. The 2011 tournament, held on Thursday, May 26 at Northview Golf & Country Club in Surrey raised almost $580,000 (photo below was taken before a final tally was made).

The tournament’s success is due to the support received from the volunteer committee, and the many sponsors, donors and volunteers who participate year after year. A special thank you goes to this year’s presenting sponsor, Canaccord Genuity.

To date, the event has raised over $6 million in support of the Society. Over 90% of the funds raised go directly to the Society. Proceeds from the tournament are divided equally between supporting families in B.C. who are living with the disease and funding research for the cure.
