About the speaker
Guy Pilch, M.A., R.C.C.

Guy Pilch is a mental fitness consultant who has helped thousands of people improve their brain performance throughout the adult lifespan.

He has given talks and workshops throughout Western Canada, and has been featured in TV, radio and newspaper interviews across the country on the subject of the mental fitness.

Guy has worked in mental health, psycho-geriatrics and addictions. Over the last few years, he’s delivered corporate brain training programs to many organizations, including business and government groups, while continuing to present workshops for individuals.

“I’ve specialized in helping people make lifestyle changes for many years,” Pilch explains. “I draw on proven research and often use the motivational techniques I learnt helping people quit addictive behaviours. These same techniques really help to inspire people to make the necessary positive lifestyle changes to maintain good brain health and fitness”.

“In a previous career I was a producer-director in the fast paced world of network television, and that helps me understand the need to present information in an engaging way with practical suggestions that people can easily fit into their busy lives,” he says.

The ideas he presents are fun, quick and easy to do, cost little or nothing, and they work. “Maintaining brain fitness is essential because it enables us to fulfill our true potential and live independent and satisfying lives at any age.”

Pilch says many of the people he’s worked with have made amazing improvements to both their brain performance and the quality of their lives, and he’ll be sharing these proven techniques during the Heads Up – Keeping your Brain Fit presentations for the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
