The Alzheimer Society of B.C. relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and corporations for donations and support.
Funds donated to the Society are used in many different ways to support our programs and services. For information showing where dollars go, visit About Us or read our Annual Report.
There are a number of ways you can help
- General Donations
Includes donations by cash, cheque, credit card and gifts-in-kind.
- Tribute Gifts
An “In Honour” gift is a unique way to recognize a milestone, like an anniversary, by making a donation in someone's name.
An “In Memoriam” gift allows you to pay tribute to someone by making a donation in their memory.
- Partners in Giving
Maximize the impact of your donation so that it makes a difference to the thousands of British Columbians affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Join the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Partners In Giving program - you benefit with a tax receipt at the end of the year, and we benefit by knowing we are receiving a steady and ongoing donation that supports our many programs and services.
- Donating publicly traded securities
In the May 2006 budget the federal government changed all capital gains taxes for direct gifts of publicly traded securities to a registered Canadian charity. Eligible securities include any shares, bonds, mutual funds, and stock options that are traded on a public exchange.
- Planned Giving
Planned giving offers a number of options for you to leave a lasting legacy through a contribution to the Alzheimer Society.
- Corporate Donations and Grants
Every year organizations, ranging from local and provincial corporations to public and private foundations, partner with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. to help deliver the programs and services needed throughout our communities.
