--Vancouver honorees Jory and Robin Mitchell lead the way during the annual fundraising event Investors Group Walk for Memories at Stanley Park on Jan. 29.

Thousands of people came out to the Investors Group Walk for Memories in 24 communities across the province. By walking and collecting pledges, you have helped ensure that Alzheimer Society of B.C. programs and services are available for more than 70,000 people in British Columbia who are living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias.

Not only does the Walk raise awareness about this devastating illness, it recognizes the importance of the support that is needed and that is available for families impacted by dementia in each and every Walk community. In this way, the Walk is also a community-bonding event.

If you couldn’t make it to your local Walk, you can still help make a difference and support families in your community. Donate online today to support a walker or a team.

Don’t forget to save the date, Jan. 27, 2013, when we’ll see you at the next Walk!
