The Clinic for Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders at the University of British Columbia (UBC) will be hosting a free dementia forum on Jan. 28, 2012. The speakers are researchers in the field who will be discussing progress made into diagnostic techniques, treatment options and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Jean Blake, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of B.C., will join Dr. B. Lynn Beattie, Professor Emeritus in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at UBC, in providing a welcome message and opening remarks before the presentations begin.

The forum will be held from 8:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Life Sciences Centre, Rooms LSC 1 & LSC 2, 2350 Health Sciences Mall at UBC in Vancouver, B.C.
