November 14, 2009 09:30 AM to November 14, 2009 12:00 PM

* This course will be offered in four 2.5 hour Saturday sessions, on November 14, November 21, November 28 & December 5.*
The Dementia Education Series offers caregivers an intensive "how-to" course on facing the challenges of dementia.

An understanding of dementia and the progression of Alzheimer’s disease helps both the person with dementia and their care partner(s) to cope.  When facing dementia there is a critical window of time in which to make critical plans for the future.

People with dementia typically experience changes in communication and behaviour.  Learn effective ways to support the person, reduce stress and friction, and cope with day-to-day issues.

It is empowering to understand a  “system” that can appear overwhelming.  When supporting a person with a chronic illness, it is vital that the caregiver stays well.

Seats are limited, please register in advance!
