January 2010

Each of the Walks is dedicated to an Honouree – a person who has been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

This
Investors Group Walk for Memories was dedicated to
Etienne (Steve) LeBlanc.
Born under the prairie skies of Saskatchewan, Etienne (Steve) LeBlanc moved to the Peace River region of B.C. where he farmed, operated Mt. Lemoray Lodge for 30 years, and also worked for the Department of Highways. A quiet and gentle man, Steve was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his horses and playing the fiddle.
After Steve’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease in the summer of 2001, his family found solace in the one-on-one support they received from their local Alzheimer Society and support group meetings. Steve passed away in February 2009.
This is your opportunity to show you care, and honour Steve’s memory.
“My father was a great neighbour and friend, and was always there to help whomever was in need. Being named honouree for this year’s Investors Group Walk for Memories is a perfect tribute for a kind and community-minded man,” said Steve’s son, Bernard LeBlanc.
