Sold Out
$200,000 Raised and Counting

A sold out room of close to 300 members of Vancouver’s business leaders sat down to breakfast with Keynote Speaker David Podmore and Guest Speaker Debra Hewson on Thursday Mar. 7 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

Corporate and community leaders gathered to hear Podmore, Chairman and CEO, Concert Properties Ltd., and Hewson, President and CEO, Odlum Brown Limited describe their experiences both as caregivers to parents with Alzheimer’s disease and business professionals with clients experiencing the onset of dementia.

Presented by Deloitte, the second annual A Breakfast to Remember attracted major support and sponsorship from Y. P. Heung Foundation, Goldcorp, Denise Ching, Concert Properties Ltd., Murrick Insurance Services, and Business In Vancouver.

David Podmore spoke of the need for conscious acceptance in preserving relationships with loved ones diagnosed with dementia.

Debra Hewson talked about recognizing and responding to diminished capacity in clients.

Both Podmore and Hewson underlined the importance of seeking help from available resources such as those offered by the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
